April 2007 - Norfolk Island

Just back from Norfolk island, Montrose Digital needed shots for a Norfolk Air TV ad. What a beautiful place, it's just a little dot in the ocean between Sydney and Auckland...

It's tiny...you can drive across it in 15mins. Huge cliffs everywhere, its green and quiet and has some amazing history. The speed limit is 50km/h and you have to watch out for cows! I'm coming back for a holiday for sure! Got to see some great things, but the highlight would have to be filming a 737 take off right over my head...now that was a buzz of epic proportions! The noise went straight through me and if I could make a decent Chewbacca noise...I would have let it rip!

Was looked after by Steve McInnes from the Norfolk Tourism board, and Ewan Wilson (Kiwi Air). Ewan is now the GM for OzJet, great people and good fun to work with. The cflifftop fish fries on sunset with girls dancing in grass skirts...I could get used to that! Norfolk Island is awesome!

Click here if you are keen to check it out, definitely recommended for a holiday with a difference. If you want to get away from it all...this is about as far as you can get!

The finished ads will be airing in Sydney and Melbourne shortly, keep an eye out.
