Port of Tauranga is New Zealand's largest and most efficient port. It was an absolute pleasure to make their video, lovely people to work with. The idea was to present a day in the life of the Port, highlighting the 24/7 aspect of their operations, while at the same time allowing separate aspects of the business to be featured. They are thinking big! In their own words:

Dan at Aeroshot has recently completed a stunning promotional video for the Port of Tauranga. This was a large and time consuming project, due to the diverse range of cargo we wanted to capture and the challenge of coordinating this with shipping movements and the weather.  

Throughout the whole project, Dan went out of his way to ensure we got the best footage possible, and we are thrilled with the final result. Dan went way beyond the call of duty and even though he spent many more hours on the project, he kept within our budget. 

Dan was a pleasure to work with - patient, always extremely motivated, creative, and a true professional in his field - not only with regard to shooting video, but as a still photographer as well. He has an extensive knowledge of the industry and a good team of people to assist when necessary, including Steve Johnston from Helicam who also did a fantastic job in the helicopter. We highly recommend Dan to other companies and look forward to working with him again in the future.

Cruise New Zealand

Cruise New Zealand provides exclusive day, overnight and extended off shore cruise options for guests aboard the 70ft luxury motor yacht Ultimate Escape. This vessel has been designed and built to entertain corporate and incentive groups, cater for private functions and provide exclusive holiday excursions around coastal New Zealand and beyond.

Dan was introduced to us when we launched the 70ft Ultimate Escape in September. He took video footage of the vessel using a helicopter as well as photographing the interior of the Ultimate Escape and his company produced a superb video for Cruise New Zealand. 

Dan's enthusiasm, professionalism and attention to detail makes him a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend both Dan and the services he offers.

Pacific Aerospace is a company with over 50 years of history of building rugged utility aircraft.  When we took the company over late in 2006 it was obvious that it needed an extensive makeover of all aspects but particularly its marketing material. 

Aeroshot did a fantastic job of capturing the history of the company while presenting it with a modern flavour that showed off the unique characteristics of our aircraft.  Their use of multiple media but particularly in-flight video over rough country was outstanding and has positioned us perfectly in the market that we are targeting. 

To get more than we expected on time and on budget was excellent – and why we will use Aeroshot again in the near future.

Attention: Anyone seeking exceptional outdoor location photography. 

Recently I had the pleasure of working with Dan Rubock on an assignment to photograph the coast and islands in the vicinity of the Whangarei Harbour. The photographs were needed to create a high quality brochure for Marsden Cove, a coastal development being undertaken by Hopper Developments Ltd.

The shots were mostly aerial views taken from a helicopter flown by Steve Johnson of Helicam. This was the first time I had ever engaged these guys so I was taking a small leap of faith.I was hoping the images would be good and waited eagerly for Dan’s disc of images to arrive.

What I received 24 hours later was absolutely exceptional. I along with the rest of the team at Hoppers were absolutely thrilled. Dan and Steve are a pleasure to work with and I am sure we will repeat the exercise at another location very soon.

I can only wish them every success.
